Equine Behavioural Consultancy
| Are you struggling with your horse’s behaviour? Struggling to understand your horse? Are you finding the relationship with your horse difficult? Are you experiencing riding or handling problems? Do you want to improve the relationship with your horse? Are you and or your horse lacking confidence? |
 |
If yes, I can help as I provide an equine behavioural consultancy service. I work closely with a range of equine experts: veterinary, physiotherapist and alternative health professionals to ensure the misbehaviour is not pain or health related and get to the root cause of the problem. This combined with my nationally recognised specialist natural horsemanship approach using the language of the herd, confidence building for horse and rider and performance coaching enables both horse and owner to progress positively together to achieve a successful outcome. |
|
Typical problems I am asked to solve include:-
- Routine handling such as leading, picking up feet, touching parts of your horse, tacking up saddling and bridling, etc…
- Horses barging, bolting, biting, kicking and intimidating behaviour etc…
- Confidence building for horse and rider
- Clipping and grooming problems
- Loading issues
- Catching horses
- Working with troubled horses that have suffered abuse and emotional trauma to build trust
- Performance related issues
- Competition nerves in horse and rider
- A wide range of riding problems that include: mounting issues, fear, anxiety, napping, rearing, bucking, running backwards, bolting, refusing to move, kicking out, etc…this list goes on and on…..

Not every example I work with is listed here. Whatever the problem please get in touch on 07930605544. I can then discuss with you the nature of the problem and organise a visit to take an in depth history of the horses lifestyle, behavioural problem and the horse’s interaction with the owner and others who handle or ride the horse. Once an initial assessment has been taken a bespoke plan can be put in place. This will reflect the individuals as every person is unique and so is their horse. One size does not fit all and no one approach is suitable for all. Some problems can be solved with simple changes. Others will take time, dedication, commitment, and intensive work with the horse and owner in order to achieve a successful outcome. Complex cases often require the horsemanship to work along side health professionals. I have well established working relationships with a range of health professionals which I can call upon. I am often called in as a last resort. Click here to read the article published in Horsemanship Magazine on the last resort. You dont have to arrive at the last resort before you call. I can work with you and your horse to solve the issues before they errode confidence, or breakdown of the human / equine realtionship. Call today and fuel your passion and unlock potential.
